Our family moved down to Hilton Head, SC from the Washington DC area nearly two years ago, shortly after our son’s first birth. Prior to our move, I spent significant time researching photographers in the DC area, looking for someone who would be able to capture the joy, fun, and beauty of watching our child grow. I spent 7 years working at a communication firm that emphasized good design, so I had very high and specific expectations for the photographs of my family. 2) Ability to capture real, everyday life – I specifically wanted photographs that would help me remember our family with things and places that we enjoy every day. Many of these things are not striking in and of themselves, such as a bright red plastic wagon, a worn down football, and a simple backyard behind our house. However, these were things that were part of our normal, everyday lives and for that reason they were precious to me. Thanks to Abri , our photographs celebrate the places and things that have brought us joy as a family in our everyday lives, in addition to capturing the preciousness of the people in our family.

3) Great customer service – Not only are Abri and Joanette incredible artists, but they run a great business. Working with them is fun and enjoyable. They understand that every person is unique and has different needs and goals in mind for their photographs and they work hard to meet those specific desires. They are incredibly diligent in their preparation work before a photoshoot. They ask their customers good questions, help them with their wardrobe selection, spend time analyzing the lighting and setting, and take test shots beforehand. They are committed to happy customers and excellent work, and from the minute you meet them to the time you hang your pictures on your wall you will be glad that you work with them.

If you're reading testimonials on this webpage, then you're right where I found myself 2 months ago. I saw a friend's photo shoot online, and we had to have our own. We were able to easily schedule a photo shoot very quickly, and Joanette was so helpful with regards to our clothing options. When the day of the shoot came, my only fear was that it would rain. But the day turned out gorgeous, our sons were amazingly free from any bruises or scrapes, and we were ready for the shoot. Within 10 seconds of our arrival, our oldest had jumped into a tidal pool and our youngest has stuck his head into the sand. Needless to say, things did not go as planned! We played. We ran. We looked at boats. We spun our kids in the air. We were able to forget about our sand-matted hair and wardrobe malfunctions and decided that if our pictures weren't going to be what we had hoped, then we'd at least have a fun evening. The entire time Abri and Joanette were running around us just snapping picture after picture. I honestly left our shoot thinking, "Well, that was FUN, but...there's NO WAY they got any good pictures of us." We looked like sea urchins by the time we were finished. Within two weeks, our photos were online, and I was absolutely blown away. The pictures were amazing! I was so worried that the pictures would show how dirty and disheveled we looked after that hour on the beach, but they were able to capture the spirit of our family in an incredible way. There's no denying it. We can't leave the beach looking clean and together. We love to play and get messy. That's just who we are.
